I love crap like this. The groups of people look like anthills.

[Thanks, CNN]

Barack Obama is our 44th President

t1wideinaugtues48cnn

“To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.”

- 44th President Barack H. Obama

I would just like to say that I teared up when the quartet performed because I miss that aspect of my life, and I have a ridiculous amount of respect for Anthony McGill for playing the clarinet in the freaking cold – that’s not easy.

Also, that was hands down the greatest benedition. Ever.

“SASHA!” Poor girl.

Photoshop adbusting in Berlin

This is a very public way of proving that no matter how pretty a celebrity is, there was a lot of work that went into making sure they look perfect. It’s a pretty cool site – scroll down to see this picture and others.

Bushisms

birthplace_of_george_w_bushashx

I felt is appropriate to find a collection of Bushisms as we near the end of his reign over this country. Is anyone else as excited about January 20th as I am?

A few of my favorites:

“They misunderestimated me.” —Bentonville, Ark., Nov. 6, 2000

“This thaw—took a while to thaw, it’s going to take a while to unthaw.”—Alexandria, La., Oct. 20, 2008

“It’s clearly a budget. It’s got a lot of numbers in it.” –Reuters, 5 May, 2000

“You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test.” –Townsend, Tennessee, 21 February, 2001

I think Bush’s time as President of the United States can be summed up into one word.

FAIL.

Help me move forward!

In tough times of economic struggle, I'm sympathetic to those in the same boat as myself and many others I know. Zack & Miri might have made a lighthearted jab at financial woes, but it's not to be taken lightly. A donation to help Dave and I would be amazing, from anyone who can donate *anything*. And to those of you hurting just as much as the rest of us - just a comment or two wouldn't hurt :)
