…don’t ask. I did want to apologize for not posting new stories and my oh-so-witty commentary lately. My new job has taken over my life and left me exhausted for the past three weeks. Once I get in a routine I’ll be back – I promise!

Valentine’s Day hilarity
Dave and I got each other: the exact same card, a bottle of champagne, a box of chocolates, and a goofy little gift. Proof that we have, in fact, become the same person.

Quaker Oatmeal to Go = wonderful
So, I’ve never been one to really eat oatmeal, but I do like oatmeal breakfast bars – and these Quaker Oatmeal to Go things are freaking delicious. Not only that, you can microwave them to warm them up in their package – which is fantastic for me on a morning like this where it’s negative double digits outside and I can’t feel any of my extremities. But now, thanks to Quaker, my insides are nice and toasty and my belly is full. Thanks, Quaker!

I made a funny.
I was so tickled by how clever I was last night when this came out of my mouth without me having planned it that I couldn’t stop giggling (note: Dave’s car is known to smell like crayons and it has an Yankee Candle Macintosh air freshner in it):
Dave: Let’s go to Park Safari and see the giraffes.
Me: Yeah! We’ll take your car because you have the sunroof and the giraffe can stick his head in and say hi.
Dave: He’ll stick his head in and think, “Wow, this car smells like crayons.”
Me: He’ll think it smells like crayon-apple. HA!
Get it? Cran-apple? I thought it was golden.
